Dance of Democracy – Election Waves in India

As we all know India is the largest democratic country in the world. Being democratic it is also required to have a stable government to rule over the country and work for the welfare of their citizen. Moreover, as per the Indian constitution election occur in every 5 years period. So, election fever of 2014 has begun and it is in full swing now a day.

After seeing the performance of present government in last 10 years and as per the current scenario of country a large number of people are still wondering. There are lots of unanswerable question revolving in their mind just like… “How would be the next government? What is the guarantee that coming government will not cheat the people? How cost of living would be affected for the common man and many more?

Every political party has come in to the battle and trying to woo the people with their manifesto, tempting promises. Although, people are now much aware than 10 years back and they know what is right & what is wrong. Moreover, social media is playing a vital role this time and a mass number of audience especially youths are very active here. So we can say that technology has changed the political environment in the country.

In India political system is mostly based on caste & religion and that’s why politicians are using them for the sake of their own advantage. Still accused candidates are fighting election and every party has given ticket to mafias, dacoits, and culprits somewhere. Party changing has also become tradition now. If a candidate has not been given ticket from their party then they are moving to others.  So, we can say they are only running for their own benefit not for the sake of people. I don’t know when this will stop but it’s really bad for the country.

In conclusion I would just like to say that you must cast your vote as it is your right but choose the best candidate from your location don’t go for the culprits at any cost. If none of the candidate is good you just press the button of right to reject in the EVM. Don’t let any criminal to go in the parliament. It is you who can change the system. It’s a democracy so you have power to choose the right candidate & superior government. I will be back with more post till then keep reading & enjoying.

Thanks for your time. Please share your views through comments.

The Role of Social Mobile Apps in 2014 Indian General Elections

In India number of smart phones users is rapidly growing day by day. As this is the era of modern technology. And of course it is going to play a vital role in coming general election of 2014 too. People across the country use smart phones to connect & share their views with near & dear ones. If we talk about smart phones and do not discuss about applications it is absolutely not justified. We use lots of mobile applications for different purposes in daily life. There are thousands of applications available on the internet for FREE. And off course social mobile apps are getting more popular and we cannot deny the fact of rapid growing users.

As we know most of the good social mobile apps are free and easy to use for android as well as iOS users. People love to chat, send messages, share images & videos through these apps. Any update of the world can quickly be shared with these awesome apps. We people use Facebook, twitter and many more social media sites to share our views. So, social mobile apps is also becoming popular and creating history worldwide. As soon as use of smart phones increases the users of social apps is also increasing. We people use apps for listening music, reading books, news, connecting with people through social apps like WeChat, WhatsUp & even more. These apps have made our life easy. Also, it seems whole world is connecting and will soon be a single place.

As we know social media is playing vital role in spreading the thing quickly among mass number of people across country. The recent example is Delhi assembly election where these social apps and media sites played a key role. Now 2014 general election is going to be held in next couple of months and people especially youths are taking part in sharing their views through these social media apps.
It we talk about the upcoming general election there are more than 160 Loksabha seats in India out of total 540 where social mobile apps user surpasses the total number of voters in that area according to the survey conducted by IRIS Knowledge Foundation and Internet Mobile association of India that means campaigning through this medium may drastically change the results in anybody's favor. As mobile phone subscribers in India have reached 929.37 million out of which close to 400 million are smart phone users. I think this data is enough to show the potential of this platform.

Social Apps have become the part of Life for everybody and especially netizens and youths. Today's youth is passionate & they stand up for things they believe in. They do not hesitate to stand up for issues they identify with. And of course it’s our moral responsibility to mobilize people to cast their vote with the help of these social mobile apps. This is least but not the last and hope this election will see some unbelievable facts with these social apps. Please forgive me if any facts are wrong and misspelled. I have written this post for the contest topic “Indian General Elections 2014 with Social Mobile Apps” of Indiblogger in association with WeChat.
